The Dillon County Council approved $22,260.07 in changeorders for the Dillon County Justice Center in a 4-3 vote at a recent meeting.
Motion to approve the change orders was made by Councilman Bobby Moody and seconded by Councilman Harold Moody. Voting in favor of the change orders were Councilmen B. Moody, H. Moody, Andrew Graves, and Joe Johnson. Voting against the change orders were Councilmen T.F. “Buzzy” Finklea, Jr., Archie Scott, and Randy Goings. The motion passed.
The changeorders included the relocation of a door in the Sheriff’s Department area, the relocation of a partition wall, the addition of a radio room, a change to the judges benches in the magistrate and family courtrooms, and 17 cable accesses.
(Note: The Herald was told by a county employee that the changeorder is for cable accesses only and that no televisions are included in this changeorder and the state will only run the coax cable and data cable if requested by the county.)
