The Dillon County Board of Education approved the County Board budget at a recent meeting.
The budget is $548,080.79, an increase of $35,037.20. The budget was balanced. The budget includes a two percent step increase for the attendance supervisor and another employee. There was also an increase in communications fees. Board Chairman, Richard Schafer, said he didn’t remember the last time they had a tax increase.
It was pointed out that all funds in Dillon County are audited by outside auditors and no financial irregularities have been reported. Financial information is online for anyone to view.
The board approved the budget.
