To The Editor:
Many thanks to County Recreation Director Vernon Grimsley for his efforts to get our Fork Community ballpark ready for summertime activities. Our tough winter had taken a toll on it. Sheriff Hulon sent a trash clean-up crew and Councilman Bobby Moody found resources to get tree debris removed. A new port-a-john was brought in and new trash cans placed around the park. Mr. Grimsley is working to get the swings and basketball court improved. Weeds are being sprayed and grass cutting is being regularly scheduled. Ballpark users are asked to work together to help keep our park clean. Come out and enjoy the Fork ballpark.
