The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a murder that occurred on Monday night, according to Captain Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.
Arnette said deputies received a call at the 20/20 Convenient Store at approximately 11 p.m. on Monday to a robbery and shooting outside of the business.
Arnette said deputies had received information that two individuals came up in the parking lot, approached the clerk, and then the shooting and robbery occurred.
The shooting victim died, Arnette said.
Coroner Donnie Grimsley identified the victim as Addalmanam Mohammad Hilal “Sammy” Albarri, age 29.
Responding deputies included Sgt. Michael Barfield, Deputy Jimmy Jackson, Deputy Dennis Cox, Sheriff Major Hulon, Chief Deputy Larry Abraham, Detective Shannon Grainger, Detective Reggie Thompson, Detective John Willie Brown, and Detective Cliff Arnette.
Arnette said the SLED dog team was called. The Dillon Police Department and the S.C. Highway Patrol also assisted.
The case is being investigated by the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office and the Dillon County Coroner’s Office.

Arrangements for Albarri are being handled by Cooper Funeral Home. Burial will be in Almnsorh, Jordan.
