The Dillon Wildcats went undefeated in the Border Battle at North Myrtle Beach on Friday and Saturday in varsity baseball action.
The Wildcats defeated Loris 9-6 on Friday night with Dillon’s Omar McCollum earning the win on the mound. McCollum pitched 3.1 innings, allowing four hits, two runs, and three walks with one out. Austin Moody got the save.
At bat for Dillon, Jarvis Graves went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI; Ethan Hayes went 3-for-4 with three RBI; Patrick Herring went 2-for-4; and Duncan Callahan went 1-for-2 with two RBI.
On Saturday, Dillon faced Hannah-Pamplico for a 14-2 win over the Raiders. Blake Deese earned the win on the mound for the Wildcats.
Jarvis Graves went 3-for-3 with five RBI against the Raiders; Patrick Herring went 2-for-4 with two RBI; and Kale Page had three hits in the win.
On Saturday afternoon, Dillon took on North Myrtle Beach for a 5-3 win. Patrick Herring got the win on the mound, allowing two earned runs and three hits. Weston Bailey got the save, pitching three innings with no runs.
Herring had two RBI at bat against North Myrtle Beach, and Bailey scored two runs for the Wildcats.
With the 3-0 tournament record, the Wildcats are now 4-0 overall this season.
Dillon was scheduled to host Darlington on Monday night and will host Mullins tonight at 6:30 p.m. to open region play. On Friday, the Wildcats will travel to Aynor, and on Tuesday, March 25, Dillon is set to host Marion.
