The United States Attorney’s Office is sponsoring its 11th Annual Project Sentry Logo Contest.
The statewide contest affords students an opportunity to raise awareness in the prevention of gun violence in schools by designing a logo for use in upcoming Project Sentry publications. The contest is open to any student (elementary, middle, or high school age) in South Carolina.
Entries should be consistent with the theme “Preventing Gun Violence at Your School.”
Cash awards will be given to the winners, courtesy of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers’ Association Foundation. The deadline for submissions is Friday, April 4, 2014.
Application and contest rules may be found on the website: http://www.justice.gov/ usao/sc/programs/ logowinners.html. Project Sentry, which is part of the District of South Carolina’s Project Safe Neighborhoods/Project CeaseFire program, is a vital step in strengthening our ability to prevent gun crimes among our young people and to ensure a safe learning atmosphere for our children.
