Filing for office begins on March 16 and ends on March 30th.
Candidates must file with the appropriate election commission during the filing period.
Those running for U.S. Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives (all districts), and Solicitor (Circuits 3, 5, 6, 12, 13, 15) must file in Columbia at the State Election Commission office. Those who must file at the Dillon County Election Commission Office include those candidates who are seeking election in the State House of Representatives (file in county of residence) or as Probate Judge, Auditor, Treasurer, or County Council Districts 5, 6, and 7.
Both the state office and the Dillon County office will be open from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays for filing.
Both office will be closed on March 16, 22-23 and open on March 29-30 from 8 a.m. until 12 noon. Potential candidates can find out more information in the official ad in The Dillon Herald and The Dillon County Shopper.
