Austin Yarbrough took the checkered flag in the Moree’s King Clone Heavy division on Saturday, February 22, to claim a $1,500 prize at Moree’s 95/38 Paradise Raceway’s Winter in Paradise #3.
Yarbrough lead the field in the 20-go cart event which was raced using Moree’s King tires.
Other winners on Saturday included Brice Boatright in the Pro Clone Heavy division; Nick Long in the Non Pro Clone Medium; and Dane Keefe in the Clone Light.
Hunter Curtis won both the Pro Clone Heavy and Clone Medium races, and Daniel Armstrong won the Pro Clone Medium. Tony Gaylord took first in the Clone Heavy and Dange Hanniford won the Clone Super Heavy while Joe Galloway won the Limited Heavy division.
In the junior divisions, Carter Langley won the Junior 1 Clone and Dalton Hodge won the Junior 1 Expert.
Preston Curtis won both the Junior 2 Clone and the Junior 2 Expert, and Cannon Jordan won both the Junior 3 Clone and the Junior 3 Expert divisions.
Preston Curtis also took the checkered flag in the Junior Champ division.
Matt Fowler won the Amateur Clone, and Benjie Bryan took first in the Animal Heavy. Ty Harrelson won the Gold Plate division, and Caeden Richardson won the Red Plate Clone.
Concessions were prepared by Charles Taylor and staff and included ribeye sandwiches on Texas toast. They also sold 70 plates of chicken bog in 31 minutes.
Moree’s 95/38 Paradise Raceway will next host the Winter in Paradise #4 on Saturday, March 8. The race will be combined with the Tri State Race.
