The Dillon County 4-H shooting sports team took nine team members to Partridge Creek gun club near Charleston, SC, to participate in a 4-H trap match. The nine team members competed as three three-person squads. The event had 26 squads competing in four different divisions.
The Senior Advanced squad of Austin Miller, Myers Hamer, and Hannah Martin came in second place in their division. Hannah Martin also won third place High-Over-All (HOA) in the Ladies Sr. Division. Hannah is from Marion County and shoots with both the Dillon County 4-H and Pee Dee Academy High School shooting team.
In the Jr. 1st year division, the squad of Zack Arrington, Justin Herring, and Nash Harpe came in third place. Nash is another member of the team who lives in a county other than Dillon as he is from Marlboro County.
The final squad from Dillon County consisted of members Justin White, Jacob Edwards, and Brenna She’ Miller. Brenna She’ came in third place HOA in the Ladies Jr. Division. Again, this squad had an out of county team member, Justin White, who is from Marion County.
