Roosevelt Pouncey, Sr., 89, of 1101 Williams St., New Bern died Monday, February 3, 2014 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
He is a native of Latta, South Carolina and was employed in the agriculture industry as a farmer.  His funeral service is 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Guildfield M. B. Church, 836 Green St., New Bern, NC with the Rev. Reginald Barnes, officiating and Reverend Godfrey Nelson, eulogist. The interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the residence.  Viewing hours are Friday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Oscar’s Mortuary, 1700 Oscar Drive New Bern, NC.
