Dillon Christian School’s Lady Warriors fell to The King’s Academy Lions and the Pee Dee Academy Golden Eagles last week in girls varsity basketball action.

On Tuesday, January 14, the Lady Warriors hosted The King’s Academy and fell 55-22 with the Lady Lions taking an 18-7 lead in the first quarter and leading 35-13 at the half. The Lions outscored the Warriors 27-9 in the second half to seal the win.

Anna Van Baaren led the Lions with a game-high 20 points and Mary Outlaw scored 16 in the win. Addie Bokelman added 8; Lizzie Dean, 4; Kellen Lott, 4; and Chanie Asger, 3.

Jamie Carpenter led Dillon Christian with eight points and Samantha Carpenter added six. Emily Martin and Greta Seay each earned three and Sarah Fitzgibbon added two points for the Warriors.

On Friday, the Warriors traveled to Pee Dee Academy and fell 69-11 to the Eagles. Pee Dee led 37-9 at halftime and outscored the Warriors 32-2 in the second half.

Holden Gasque led Pee Dee with a game-high 10 points with Shey Gregg, Hannah Martin, Jennifer Smith, Meg Webster, and Tori Johnson each adding eight points in the win. Taylor Herrington scored seven, Karlee Dozier scored six, and Katelyn Caulder added four, with Kaitlin Estes earning two.

Dillon Christian’s Madison King scored five points, and Jamie Carpenter, Samantha Carpenter, and Sarah Fitzgibbon each added two.

The Lady Warriors will be away this week, traveling to Marlboro Academy tonight and Robert E. Lee Academy on Friday.
