Mrs. Evelyn B. Miller died Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at McLeod Hospice House of Florence after an illness.
A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Lake View at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 21, 2013.  Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery, directed by Cooke Funeral Home.  The family received friends on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Lake View.
Mrs. Miller was born in Dillon County, the son of the late Everett Clarence and Eva Smith Barfield.  She was an admired and very active member of First Baptist Church of Lake View, where she served on the WMU, the Church Choir, and also served on a host of other church affiliated groups
Surviving Mrs. Miller are her sons, Wayne Miller (Lois Ann) and David Miller (Mary Carol); daughters, Nancy Dickens, Debbie Capps (Jerry), Sandy Edwards, Sherry Hinson (Butch), Rosemary Daniels (Kenny) and Susan Herring; brother, Jimmy Barfield (Martha); sisters, Ida Kate Brown (Ernie); 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph “Buddy” Miller; sons, James “Clinker’ Miller and Richard “Bird Dog” Miller; sisters, Louise Blaisdell, Hilda Roberts, and Carolyn Walshock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Lake View, PO Box 397, Lake View, SC 29563.
