The Latta Vikings cruised to a 61-0 win over Hannah-Pamplico on Friday night in Latta.

The Vikings were led by Kartilus McFadden who scored four touchdowns and rushed for 165 yards on 15 carries.

Kel Williamson competed seven of 14 pass attempts for 100 yards through the air, and Colby Lee made two interceptions to lead the Viking defense.

Latta improved to 6-3 overall and 3-1 in Region 8-A. The Vikings also cracked the Morning News Top 10 in the polls, tying Darlington for 10th place.

This Friday, Latta will travel to Lake View to face their local rival and wrap up the regular season. The Wild Gators have already earned a playoff spot in Class A Division II, but the Vikings will have to defeat Lake View on Friday to secure a spot in the Division I playoffs. If they are successful, it will mark the first time since 2003 that the Vikings have appeared in the postseason. If they lose, there is still a chance that Latta could snag a playoff spot.

Game time is 7:30 p.m., so make plans to attend to support our local teams!
