Lake View’s Wild Gators picked up a 30-8 win over the Creek Bridge Warriors at home on Friday night in varsity football action.

After a scoreless first inning, the Wild Gators scored twice in the second quarter to lead at half-time. Christian McDaniel ran in the first touchdown, scoring on an eight-yard run, and Anthony Bines scored on the two-point conversion with 4:56 left in the half. McDaniel scored again at 2:46 on a 28-yard run, and quarterback Weston Rogers completed a pass to Keon Anderson for two-points for the 16-0 lead.

Creek Bridge managed to score their only touchdown with just 17 seconds left on the clock in the third, completing a 28-yard pass with a successful conversion to trail 16-8.

The Wild Gators capped a fourth quarter drive with a one-yard run from Weston Rogers and McDaniel scored the conversion to widen the lead, and Lake View sealed the win with a 48-yard interception return from Crishon Jordan as time expired for the 30-8 win.

On offense, McDaniel carried 14 times for 133 yards rushing and two touchdowns, and Rogers carried five times for 54 yards and one touchdown.

Lake View improved to 3-4 on the season and 2-1 in Region 8-A, while Creek Bridge falls to 0-7.

This Friday, the Wild Gators will be at Johnsonville to take on the 5-2 Flashes at 7:30 p.m.
