A man was killed in a house fire that occurred on Saturday night.
According to Captain Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office, Dillon County Fire Station 1 was dispatched to a structure fire at 605 Mister Daniel Drive at about 11:35 p.m. on Saturday night.
Providing mutual aid at the fire was the City of Dillon Fire Department, Dillon Rescue and EMS.
While they were fighting the fire, they located a person inside who was deceased.
Coroner Donnie Grimsley identified this person as Ronald Fernando Blue, age 60.
The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office was notified. Deputies Glenn Coates and Tim George responded.
SLED was called. The Sheriff’s Office, Coroner’s Office and SLED are investigating. Deputy Reggie Thompson is the investigator assigned the case.
