Dillon Christian’s #2 Kelvin Stackhouse breaks into the open.
A big offensive and defensive line averaging 275 plus proved too much for the Warriors Friday night at Warrior Stadium as the Williamsburg Academy Stallions defeated the Dillon Christian School Warriors 51-12.

Senior Stallion quarter back Robbie Heathcott Passed for two touchdowns and ran for another as he led his team for a third straight victory as a starter over the Warriors.

The Warriors started Jim Carr at quarterback and moved Will Brown to wide receiver and safety. The Warriors seem to be struggling on wrapping up the ball carrier on defense allowing too much yardage.

Warrior running back Kelvin Stackhouse is a fighting ball of fire that fights for every inch of yardage he gets and he does not quit until the whistle blows the play dead. Friday night Stackhouse’s number 2 was torn to shreds by defensive linemen trying to hold onto him as he would spin out of their grasp.

The Stallions opened the scoring with Heathcott hitting wide receiver Jack Kellahan with a 35-yard touchdown pass with 11:41 left in the first quarter. Briley Steele kicked the extra point to put the Stallions up 7-0. With 1:16 left in the first quarter Warrior quarterback Jim Carr was caught in the end zone for a safety, upping the Stallion lead to 9-0.

The Stallions took the Warrior kick fielded by Tripp Ward and returned it 64 yards for a touchdown. Steele’s kick increased the Stallion lead to 16-0 with 1:03 left in the first quarter with the quarter ending with this score.

Stallion tailback Dillon Davis broke loose for a 44-yard touchdown run with 10:00 left in the second quarter. Steele’s kick put the Stallions up 23-0.

Kelvin Stackhouse received the Stallion kickoff and returned it 75 yards, breaking several tackles along the way. The kick failed, leaving Warriors trailing 23-6 with 9:45 left in the second quarter.

The Stallions took the Warrior kick and marched down the field and finished the drive with Ward taking it in from four yards out. Steele booted the Stallions to a 30-6 lead with 5:05 left in the second quarter.

Carr settled down at his new position and hit wide receiver Mark Minges with a 46-yard touchdown pass with 4:00 left in the second quarter. The kick was blocked, leaving the Warriors down 30-12. Heathcott answered back with a 63-yard touchdown pass to Kellahan. Steele’s kick put the Stallions ahead 37-12 with 3:45 left in the half. With no time left on the clock, Heathcott ran 18 yards for a touchdown. Steele added the final point of the first half to give the Stallions a 44-12 lead.

After a scoreless third, Dylan Atkinson ran 16 yards for the Stallions final touchdown with 8:04 left in the fourth quarter. Steele made it 7 for 7 on the night kicking extra points for a 51-12 Stallion victory.

On offense for the Warriors, Stackhouse had 57 yards rushing, had a 54-yard touchdown called back on an illegal block, and had a 75-yard kickoff return. Anthony Williams had 23 yards rushing and five yards receiving; Mark Minges had 53 yards receiving and a touchdown; Will Brown had nine yards receiving; and Jim Carr had 67 yards passing with a touchdown.

On defense, Luke Price had nine tackles; Ben and Jake Boykin added six tackles each; Matthew Price made five tackles and a quarterback sack; Will Brown, Ellison Rourke, and Mike Minges made three tackles each; Mark Minges, Samuel Brown, and Anthony Williams made two tackles each; Heath Frietas, Bradley Patterson, Douglas Bullock, and David Williams added one tackle each.
