Services for Mary Elizabeth Berry Usher Crosland will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Latta Presbyterian Church with burial in Magnolia Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
     Mrs. Crosland, 91, died Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence.
     Born in Dillon County, SC, November 13, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Sam J. Berry and Mary Hayes Berry.  She was a member of Latta Presbyterian Church where she was a former deacon, and former church treasurer.  In 1998, she was presented the Presbyterian Women’s Honorary Life Membership.  She was an honorary member of the Latta Dogwood Garden Club, member of the Latta Homemaker’s Club, and the Dillon County Historical Society.  She was a graduate of the Marlboro County Business School, and she retired from Dillon Provision Company.  She was first married to James Robert Usher and then to Gordon Crosland.
     Survivors include her children, James Robert Usher (Joyce) of Dillon, Betty Usher McDaniel (Charles) of Lexington, Bonnie Jean Usher Belger of Newberry, and Gladys Usher Bedinger of Latta; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Geneva B. Dees of Latta.
     Mrs. Crosland was preceded in death by her sisters, Lucille B. Easterling and Elise Berry Burden;  her brother, Hayes Berry; and her sons-in-law,  Jackie Belger and Dwight Bedinger.
The Family expresses sincere appreciation to all those who have helped take care of Mary Elizabeth.  We give a special thank you to Lucille Davis who comforted and cared for her as if she were her own Mother.
