Dillon County Council Chairman Archie Scott was nominated for a four-year term to the Board of Directors at the S.C. Association of Counties annual conference in Hilton Head.
According to the S.C. Association of Counties website, “The South Carolina Association of Counties (SCAC) is the only state organization representing county government in South Carolina. Its membership, which includes all 46 counties, spans the spectrum from predominately urban to rural. By virtue of a county’s membership in SCAC, all of its elected and appointed officials become participants in an organization dedicated to improving county government. SCAC is a non-partisan, nonprofit organization which maintains a full-time staff in Columbia. It is governed by a 29-member Board of Directors, composed of county officials from across South Carolina.”
