Bill Aston was selected for the Glen Krohn Award for Volunteerism in Clemson Extension 4-H.
This award was presented to Aston at the Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service 4-H State Congress.
Aston has been a 4-H Volunteer Leader for the Dillon County 4-H Shooting Sports Club for over 10 years and has been a supporter and donor of South Carolina 4-H as well.
Aston is the Volunteer Leader who established the 4-H Shooting Sports Program in Dillon County. He has continually recruited volunteers and youth for this club. They have a long- standing tradition of winning at the State 4-H Shooting Sports events. The team has placed in the top of their divisions for many years.
He has had several individuals to qualify and represent South Carolina on the National 4-H Shooting Sports Team and he also attended the National Competition as a coach.
Aston has help generate funds for the Dillon 4-H Shooting Sports Club through Grants and Sponsorships.
It is volunteers like Aston that makes Dillon County a good place to live.
