SLED agents arrested a Dillon County Sheriff’s Deputy on Friday, August 9.
Ken Carlisle Rogers, 48, of Dillon, was charged with assault and battery second degree and misconduct in office.
Rogers was booked at the Dillon County Detention Center.
The arrest is a result of an investigation conducted by SLED at the request of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office. The case will be prosecuted by the S.C. Attorney General’s Office.
A warrant states that the incident occurred on July 20th at a call on Walnut Street. The warrant states that “Rogers did assault using excessive force by deploying OC spray, slapping the victim in the face, and tasing hin while he was restrained with handcuffs and leg shackles.
