Dear Editor:
We were on I-95 near the 169 mile marker coming home from a family reunion at Lake Greenwood when we approached the overhead bridge and saw two young men waving huge American flags.
As we came out from under the bridge, there on the left on a secondary road were ten or more young people waving smaller American flags. It thrilled our hearts that these folks would take the time to honor our country and this day with all the tourists passing by. I would have to say that was a fitting climax to a wonderful day. I have no idea who these kids were but wanted to express my deepest appreciation to them for doing this. May they always feel this way about the U.S. and those who have sacrificed their lives so we can truly be free. Thank you for allowing me to share this with your readers.
