Game 1
Delmae of Florence 12, Latta 1

The Delmae All Stars scored six runs in the first inning and Sei Horiuchi pitched three innings of shutout baseball to lead his team to an 11-1 victory over the Latta All Stars in the opening game of the Sub-District District 10 Minor League Tournament, which is being hosted by the City of Dillon and the Dillon Kiwanis Club at the City of Dillon Sports Complex. Nic Edict drove in three runs with a double and sent two runners across the plate in the big first inning with a single. Delmae also added two runs in the second inning and pushed across four more in the third on base hits by Lee Grainger, Marshall Brown, Cole Procik and Billy Barlow. Hitting safely for Latta were Matthew Black (Single, run), Preston Tyler (single), Dylan Shelley (Single) and McKenzie Tanner (Single).

Game 2
Marion 4, McLeod Park of Florence 0

Bases loaded walks were responsible for scoring three of four runs for the Marion All Stars in its 4-0 win over McLeod Park. Austin Williams had two hits and getting one apiece were Hunter Herlong and Donquavious Britt for Marion. Herlong went the distance striking out eight and giving up six hits. Kyle Grice was perfect at the plate for McLeod Park with two singles and leadoff batter Tom Faile also had two singles in three plate appearances. George Floyd added a double and Brock Shuler singled in a losing cause.

Game 3
Dillon Kiwanis 11, Lake View 1

Bo-Bo McKinnon pitched three scoreless innings allowing only a single by Lucas Shelley in the first inning and Noah Carter tripled twice and doubled to drive in three runs to lead the Kiwanis All Stars to an 11-1 first-game win over Lake View. Gage Hunt also doubled twice and Cooper Lane drove in a run with a double in three times at bat. Charlie Nash Collins hit a bases loaded single to drive in two runs in a four-run fourth inning and Quentin Hunt’s first inning two out single also scored a run for Kiwanis. Trent Johnson relieved McKinnon and pitched only one inning allowing no hits while walking one batter. Lane worked the final inning of the game giving up the lone run for Lake View on three walks and a single by Malik McDuffie.

Game 4
Marion 9, Mullins 3

Going into the bottom of the fifth inning, the Mullins All Stars had a 3-1 lead over Marion, but a two-out, eight run rally put the game out of reach for Marion. In the half inning, there were eight walks, a hit batter and one hit (A two-run single by Qualik Crawford) as Marion sent 14 batters to the plate. All of the Mullins runs were results of bases on balls. Chase McQueen had the only hit for Mullins and Marion had four including singles by Drew Singletary, Hunter Herlong, Thomas Skipper and Crawford’s single.

Game 5
Latta 14, Lake View 7

The Latta All Stars eliminated Lake View with a 14-7 win sending 12 batters to the plate in the first inning. When the final out of the inning was made, nine runners had crossed the plate to take a 9-1 lead. Dylan Shelley drove in two runs with a triple and Preston Tyler’s bases loaded single drove in two more, following a walk and singles by Parker McCormick and Gabe Estes. McCormick was 3 for 3 at the plate and Shelley drove in another run with his second hit of the game. Jacob Lee also had two hits for Latta and Alex Strickland put the finishing touch on the 10-hit attack with a single. For Lake View Michael McDaniel had two hits in as many times at bat and with singles were Jacob Shelley, Braxton Dimery, Marquise Johnson and Max Edwards.

Game 6
Delmae 15, Dillon Kiwanis 5

Delmae knocked the Dillon Kiwanis All Stars from the ranks of the undefeated with a 15-5 win scoring at will with two runs in the first, one in the second, three in the third, five in the fourth and four more in the final inning before the ten-run rule went into effect. Noah Carter started on the mound for the Kiwanis All Stars and gave up two runs on three bases on balls in the first inning after he doubled and scored to lead his team to an early 2-0 start. Delmae tied the game in the second on back to back hits by Nik Edick and Sei Horiuchi before the bottom fell out in the final three innings. Edick paced Delmae with three hits in three official times at the plate. Others with hits for Delmae were Ty Suggs (Single, run, RBI), Billy Barlow (Double), Zach Dutton (Single, run), Patrick Kasper (Single, 3 RBI) Marshall Brown (Single, RBI, 2 runs) and Clayton Bochette (Single, RBI, 3 runs). For Dillon Kiwanis Noah Carter continued with a hot bat with 2 hits (Double and single, run) and Cooper Lane had two hits (2 singles, RBI and scored a run). Bo-Bo- McKinnon also had two hits, both of which were singles. Others with hits for the Kiwanis All Stars were Ahmari Bruce, Quentin Hunt (Single, run) and Caleb Boykin (Single). Suggs was the winning pitcher and Carter took the loss.

Game 7
Dillon Kiwanis 6, Mullins 1

The Dillon Kiwanis All Stars sent Mullins packing in Sunday evenings first of three games, 6-1, with Noah Carter and Trent Johnson combining on a two-hitter. The second batter of the game Caleb Oakley singled off Carter, who threw for three innings and Johnson allowed only one base runner, Cameron Hillburn, who singled in the sixth. Johnson struck out six of the ten batters that he faced. Carter was 3 for 3 in the game and has been perfect at the plate through the tournament thus far with eight consecutive hits. Bo-Bo McKinnon and Cooper Lane had two hits apiece and Gage and Quentin Hunt had one hit each in the contest.

Game 8
McLeod Park 8, Latta 0

Latta was eliminated in the second game on Sunday by an 8-0 win by Delmae. The only two hits allowed by George Floyd and Dylan Snyder were a double by Ian Autry and a single by McKenzie Tanner, while the McLeod batters lit up the scoreboard with nine hits, including Floyd (2 Singles, 2 RBIs, 2 Runs), Snyder (Double, single, 2RBI, 2 runs), Tom Faile (Single, run), Chris Brigman (Single, 2 runs), Anthony Cox (Single),Justin Gibbs Single, run) and Lucas Fredenberger (Single).

After three consecutive rainout dates, Delmae (3-0) was the only unbeaten team and was scheduled to take on McLeod (1-1) Friday evening, weather permitting, after Dillon Kiwanis (2-1) and Marion(2-1) were scheduled to play in an elimination game. The winners of the two games were scheduled to play Saturday morning.
