Memorial services for Andrew Murdick Brooks were held 4:00 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2013 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation was held 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Brooks, 71, died Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence.
Born in Horry County, SC, May 17, 1942, he was the son of the late Jerry Lamar Brooks and Inez Keith Brooks. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and retired from DuPont.
Survivors include his wife, Rachel Brooks of Dillon; daughters, Angela Renee Elliott (Darryl) of Florence, Shannon Diane Watts (Kenny) of Darlington, and Stacey Brooks Newton (Benjamin) of San Mateo, CA; grandchildren, Nicholas Darryl Elliott, and Gwyneth Marie Newton; sisters, Lettazoe Thompson of Dillon, and JoAnn Huggins of Latta.
Mr. Brooks was predeceased by his brother, McRoy Brooks.
