Mr. McLellan would like to give special thanks to Dillon Middle School principals, Dillon School District Four Administration, community, parents, and  the student body for supporting the Dillon Middle School Band program. Thanks for all your support this year, coming from the Band Department and me.
Dillon Middle School Band Accomplishments for 2012-2013
· Seventh grade beginner band receive a rating of EXCELLENT at SCBDA Concert Festival
· Eighth grade band received a rating of GOOD  at SCBDA Concert Festival
· One student made ALL-STATE CALLBACK top band in Middle School (Furman University)
· Nine students to made EASTERN DISTRICT BAND (South Florence High School)
·Two students made EASTERN REGION BAND (Socatee High School)
· Thirteen seventh and eighth grade students participated in UNCP University BRASS CLINIC (UNCP  PEMBROKE)
·  Thirty seventh and eighth grade students were selected for DILLON ALL-COUNTY BAND (Dillon Middle  School)
· Three students were selected to the UNCP HONOR BAND (UNCP PEMBROKE)
· Eleven students were selected to the SCSU HONOR BAND (S.C. STATE UNIVERSITY)
·  Performances by seventh and eighth band included: Pines Nursing Home, Dillon Theater, Hamer  Canaan Head Start, Gordon Elementary, etc.
