The Dillon Christian School Lady Warriors traveled to Mullins on Tuesday for a region match with the Lady Eagles of Pee Dee Academy. The Eagles ended the game in two and a half innings with a 16-0 win margin.

The Warriors were way off their play and assisted the Eagles with 12 of the 16 runs scored. The Warriors again gave a poor at bat performance with Madison King getting the Warrior’s only hit.

Warrior Head Coach Norm Norton has added the assistance of Danny Ellis’s expert training at the plate in practice and he gets good efforts from the ladies in practice. The Warriors look unbeatable in practice but seem snake bit come game day. Success will come to the Warriors if they can overcome their fear of failure.

On the mound for the Eagles, Kelby Huggins and Haley Scott held the Warriors to 13 batters in three at bats. Aside from King’s hit, Makalai Sweat and Kathryn Brown made it to base on a walk and Lauren Lee got a walk and advanced runners to second and third base on a fielder’s choice/sacrifice hit.

The Warriors will be at home today with a non-region game with Robert E. Lee Academy with game time set for 5:00 pm.
