The Pee Dee Academy Lady Golden Eagles defeated the Dillon Christian School Lady Warriors 15-0 Friday at Warrior Field.

The young Warrior team gave up three earned runs but mistakes allowed for 12 unearned runs.

The Golden Eagles are much improved this season but errors and missed assignments on the part of the Warriors made things easier for them Friday. The Eagles took a 2-0 lead in the first inning, adding one run in the second for a 3-0 lead. The Eagle defense, aided by the pitching of Haley Scott, put the Warriors down three and out in the third and fourth innings while adding four runs to take a 7-0 lead at the end of four. A big 8-run fifth inning for the Golden Eagles ended the game on the mercy rule.

On the mound for the Warriors, Jamie Carpenter posted three strikeouts with one walked batter and gave up 10 hits with three earned runs in the loss. Eight errors and some bad throws to base resulted in 12 unearned runs.

On the mound for the Golden Eagles, Haley Scott posted 11 strikeouts with three walked batters and gave up one hit with no runs for the win.

At bat for the Warriors, Lauren Lee was 1-for-2, and Jamie Carpenter, Madison King, and Emily Martin made it to base on errors. Lee and Carpenter each added a stolen base.

In the field, Ansley Hamer, Makalai Sweat, Alex Lane, and Emily Martin made some good defensive plays. Madison King and Kathryn Brown continue to improve on defense with each game.

The Warriors will not have a game this week due to senior week. Lauren Lee and Kathryn Brown are away in Guatemala with the rest of the senior class on a Christian mission to this small country.

The Warriors will return to play on Monday, March 25, to host a 4:00 p.m. game against Fairmont High School.
