Latta police are seeking a suspect in an attempted murder that occurred on January 13th, according to Police Chief Crystal Moore.
The incident took place on Legare Street in Latta at approximately 5:55 a.m., according to PFC Tony J. Roberts. The 23-year-old male victim told police that an unknown suspect shot through the glass door and hit him in the left leg and the left hip. Chief Moore said approximately 6-8 shots were fired.
Chief Moore, Sgt. Derrick Cartwright, and Sgt. Bobby Jones were called to the scene. Two deputies were also on scene. Cpl. Malcolm Gerald also assisted.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and released, Chief Moore said.
