The Dillon Wildcats are headed to the state championship having defeated Timberland on Friday night, 48-13, in the Class 2A Division I Championship game.
The game was dedicated to the late Jake David, a player who lost his life in an automobile accident last year just a couple of days before the Dillon-Timberland game which Dillon lost. After the win on Friday, Jake’s parents, Jay and Stephanie David, were presented the game ball.
The Wildcats will face Fairfield Central on Friday, November 30th at 5:30 p.m. on Friday at Benedict College in Columbia.
Fairfield Central defeated Newberry in overtime, 28-21, for the opportunity to play for the state title.
