Dillon’s Jamie Callahan took the mound for the Gulf Coast League Red Sox in two more regular season games to round out his first season of minor league baseball with a 1-0 record and a 5.19 ERA.

On Friday, August 17, he pitched two scoreless innings against the GCL Twins, allowing only one walk while striking out two.

On Thursday, August 23, he took the mound again for two innings against the GCL Rays. He allowed four hits with two earned runs, but struck out two with one walk.

For his first season, Callahan earned a 5.19 ERA across 8.2 innings, allowing eight hits and five runs, with three walks and seven outs.

The Red Sox took on the GCL Tigers on Saturday for a 1-0 win in the semifinal. The South Division champs will next take on the GCL Pirates in the best-of-three Championship Series, which was scheduled to begin on Tuesday.
