Dillon County is in the process of finalizing a reassessment for the 2012 year.
Dillon County was last reassessed in 2006 and was scheduled to implement a new reassessment in 2011.
Dillon County received a one year delay for the 2011 implementation and will be finished with the 2012 implementation in the near future.
Since the 2006 reassessment, the sales prices of homes were lower across the state and country for several years. There have been a few signs that the market is making gradual recovery.
In saying this, Assessor Steve Rogers does not foresee any significant increase in the appraised value of homes while the appraised value of mobile homes will definitely decrease.
