To the Editor:
I read with much interest about the theft of wrought iron at Haselden Cemetery. Governor Ellerbe was a relative of mine and also buried out there is Thomas L. Manning, my great, great, grandfather who was killed during the war of Northern Aggression. I have his sword on my wall. My dad and David Aston fixed up his grave about twenty-five years ago. I thank officer Dewitt Coleman for his efforts. May the vandals be caught and possibly hung from one of the beautiful live oaks that are nearby.
Sincerely,
Houston Manning
