Services for Franklin James Sweat will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday in Shiloh Chapel with burial in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. Sweat, 83, died Monday, April 30, 2012 at his residence with his daughter-in-law by his side.
Born in Dillon County, May 8, 1928, he was the son of the late Elishia Sweat and Molly Scott Sweat.
Survivors include his son, James (Kim) Sweat of Corpus Christi, TX; daughter-in-law, Jeannie Sweat of Latta; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Sweat was preceded in death by his son, Lester Lee “Bud” Sweat.
