(5/4, 1:24) The Herald has received a report that five candidates have been kicked off the ballot in the Democratic primary. Douglas Pernell, Randy Goings, Michael Grice, Jack Scott, and Marvin Suggs have all apparently been removed. The Herald is waiting for official sources to confirm this information.

UPDATE:
Candidates who did not properly file their Statements of Economic Interests (SEIs) during the March filing period have had their names removed from the ballot in the June primary.
This came after a ruling from the S.C. Supreme Court last week.
Political parties were required to provide an updated by 12 noon on May 4th.
Those eligible to run in Dillon County according to the list are:
Incumbents on the ballot-Aron R. Gandy (County Council District 4), Bobby K. Moody (County Council District 2), Macio Williamson (County Council District 1), Robert Archie Scott (County Council District 3), Major Hulon (Sheriff), Donnie Grimsley (Coroner), Gwen T. Hyatt (Clerk of Court), and Jackie Hayes (State Representative 55).
Challengers on the ballot-T.F. “Buzzy” Finklea (County Council District 4)
Taken off the ballot were Randy Goings (County Council District 1), Marvin Suggs (County Council District 2), Jack Scott (County Council District 2), Mike Grice (County Council District 3), and Douglas Pernell (Sheriff). All local challengers were removed from the ballot except for Finklea. The challengers taken off the ballot can run as petition candidates in November; however, The Herald has not been notified that any plan to do so at this time. (Sources: S.C.
