Graveside services for Estelle Ivey McKellar were held 3:00 p.m. Monday in Oakland United Methodist Church Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.
Mrs. McKellar, 90, died Sunday, February 26, 2012 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Born in Hamer, SC, July 30, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Wade Haynes and Mamie Wiggins Ivey. She was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church, and was retired from Dillon County School Food Services. She was the widow of the late Leon McKellar.
Survivors include her daugter, Betty McKellar (Howard) Edwards of Dillon; son, Leon McKellar, Jr. of Hamer; 4 grandchildren, Gregory Edwards, Chris (Holley) Edwards, Beth (Ryan) King, and Jan Edwards; 4 great-grandchildren, Jacob Edwards, Luke King, Landon King, and Lauren King; brother, Thomas (Jean) Ivey of Santee; sisters, Odessa Good of Mocksville, NC, and Elizabeth (Bill) Allen of Marion, SC.
Mrs. McKellar was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Janie Evelyn (Ben) Cox, Alla Mae (Smitty) Smith, Lenora Price, Junior (Vera) Ivey, Dewey (Peggy) Ivey, Emery Braxton (Agnes) Ivey, and Edward Franklin Ivey.
