“Man of The House” is coming to the Dillon County Theatre. Plans are underway to present this comedy during the downtown Dillon festival in April. Live on stage and presented by the MacArthur Avenue Players by local talent. This will be an opportunity to be on stage and have a good time doing it. Ten roles are available and vary from a few lines to many; and from conservative and sophisticated to irreverent and rebellious.
A burglar masquerades as the “Man Of The House” as family member and others come and go while he pilfers the house. Even a policeman comes by to check the house and the burglar sees him in and out ”secure that all is well”. The master’s somewhat bawdy old flames shows up along with an eloping niece and her boyfriend who are cordially hosted by the “Man Of The House” before he actually leaves with the loot. Along with cast, help is also needed for tech and set preparation and program or ticket production and management. Come participate in this live theatre experience right here in Dillon!!
Signups and try outs will be on Monday, February 27 and Tuesday the 28th and again Monday, March 5 at 7 p.m. in the theatre on MacArthur Avenue.
For more information please contact the director, Bill Schmidt at 774-3963 or the Dillon County Chamber of Commerce.
