Lake View’s Lady Wild Gators earned back-to-back wins over Aynor and Green Sea-Floyds last week before falling to Johnsonville on Tuesday.
Lake View picked up the first win at home against Aynor on Thursday, January 19, when they defeated the Blue Jackets 42-39.
Tranya Ford and Jasmine Ford each scored 12 points and Brittany Washington earned 10 points with 13 rebounds to lead the Lady Wild Gators to the win. Zaria Washington added five points, and Kayla Page and Kayla Sanderson each scored one.
Chelsea Barrington led Aynor with a game-high 16 points, with Brooke Barfield adding 10, Kimberly Smith earning nine, and Haley Haseldon scoring five.
On Friday, Lake View defeated the Green Sea-Floyds Trojans with Tranya Ford earning 21 points, four steals, and four assists, and Britney Washington earning two points, three assists, and 13 rebounds to lead the Lady Wild Gators.
On Tuesday, Lake View hosted Johnsonville and fell to to the Flashes 77-33. Johnsonville took an early 16-6 lead and went 20-7 in the second to lead 36-13 at the half. The Flashes continued to dominate in the second half, outscoring Lake view 19-11 and 22-9 in the third and fourth to secure the win.
Keyarah Turner led Johnsonville with a game-high 29 points, with Crystal Williams scoring 12, Shane Mack earning 10, and Gabby Boatwright and Nicole Hannah each scoring eight. Machala Weaver added five, Shanice Hamilton scored four, and Aquava Malcom earned one.
Tranya Ford led Lake View with 15 points, followed by Britney Washington with nine, Jasmine Ford with eight, and Diayah Williams with one.
Lake View is now 4-9 overall and 2-6 in Region 8A. The Gators will be at Carvers Bay this Friday at 6:00 p.m.
