Dillon’s Kwinton Smith recently played in the 2012 Offense-Defense Bowl in Dallas, Texas, on December 31, 2011.

The senior Wildcat played for the East team, which lost to the West 21-14. The East team had 12 first downs, 40 yards rushing, 153 passing, and 193 total yards with two turnovers. The West had 14 first downs, 91 yards rushing, 71 passing, and 162 total with three turnovers.

Caleb Rowe of Blue Ridge, SC, was named the overall MVP, with Pharaoh Brown earning the West Offensive MVP and Malcolm Lewis earning the East Offensive MVP. Otha Peters was the West’s Defensive MVP and Shaquille Lawson of D.W. Daniel, SC, was the East’s Defensive MVP.

Quinshad Davis of Gaffney, SC, was named wide receiver of the year. Mauty Mauk of Kenton, OH, won overall player of the year; Nathan Peterman was named scholar-athlete of the year; JC Coleman won running back of the year; Se’Von Pittman was named defensive lineman of the year; Peters was linebacker of the year; Jermaine Edmondson won defensive back of the year; Cedrick Poutasi was named offensive lineman of the year; and Blake Tibbs won special teams player of the year.
