Grace Rebecca Smith White Dunn, 98, died at the Sunny Acres Nursing Home December 29, 2011. Funeral sevices wereheld 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 2, 2012 at the Kannaday Funeral Home Chapel in Dillon, SC with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation was from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. prior to the service.
Mrs. Dunn was born April 12, 1913 in Halifax, VA the daughter of the late John Anderson and Maggie Lee Crowder Smith. She was the widow of John Fredrick Dunn and a home maker. She was a devoted member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where she attended services and other activities regularly until she became ill. She was an avid gardener of vegetables and flowers and loved canning the fruits and vegetables she grew. She sewed many of her own clothes and loved to crochet.
Mrs. Dunn is survived by her three grandchildren; Bryan White of Jacksonville, FL, Monica Nippers of Murfreesboro, TN, and Maggie (William) Traywick of Christiana, TN; four great granchildren; and one great great grandchild.
She was predeceased by her son and daughter-in-law Everette V. and Bobbie White; her brother, William R. Hart; and her sister, Eunice M. Lewis.
