Dillon County firefighters, with help from the Dillon City Fire Department, are battling a fire on Highway 57 South at this time (Friday afternoon) at Wonder Lodge No. 377. The back of the building was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived, according to Station One Chief Bobby Lee Thompson. More details will appear in The Dillon Herald next week.

UPDATE 1/09/12:
A building on the property of Wonder Lodge Chapter No. 377 on Highway 57 South in Dillon burned on Friday afternoon. Dillon County firefighters with the assistance of Dillon City firefighters battled the blaze. Station One Fire Chief Bobby Lee Thompson said the back of the building was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived. The Herald is told that the building was filled with all of the political signs for the Douglas Pernell For Sheriff campaign.
