Marine Corps Cpl. Annquanett J. Wright, daughter of Linda F. Stephens of Hamer and Willie Jones of Dillon, was recently awarded a Letter of Appreciation while serving at Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Okinawa, Japan.
Wright visited and displayed support to the Children Development Center (CDC) in the city of Awase. With her help, Wright’s squadron was able to touch the lives of more than 80 disabled men, women, and children. Wright’s spirit of compassion along with her numerous volunteer hours made a positive impact on the CDC and throughout Okinawa.
Wright joined the Marine Corps in June 2006.
