Dillon Christian School’s Lady Warriors fell 67-17 to The King’s Academy’s Lady Lions on Friday in Florence.

The King’s Academy outscored Dillon Christian in every quarter, getting off to an 18-8 lead in the first and going 21-3 in the second for a 39-11 lead at the half. The Lady Lions added 16 points in the third while holding the Warriors scoreless, and outscored them 12-6 in the fourth for the 67-17 win.

The Lions were led by Lisa VanBaaren with a game-high 21 points and Adie Bokelman with 18. Taylor Weatherford earned 12, with Sarah Parks and Ana VanBaaren each adding six and Shannon Edmunds scoring four.

Lauren Lee led Dillon Christian with nine points. Amanda Bass and Emily Prutzman each scored four.

The Lady Lions improve to 5-2 overall and 1-1 in the region, while the Lady Warriors fall to 1-8 overall and 0-2 in SCISA Region 4-AA.

Dillon Christian School will next travel to Marlboro Academy on Friday, December 16th to take on the Dragons with junior varsity action starting at 4:00 p.m. and varsity action starting at 6:00. After that, the Lady Warriors will take some time off for Christmas break and return to action on Tuesday, January 3, when they are scheduled to host Robert E. Lee Cavaliers.
