A Review by Marcia Chandler
The Dillon County Theatre was pleased to present its annual Tribute to Veterans at the theatre on Sunday afternoon, Nov.6th at 2:30 P.M.
An appreciative and enthusiastic crowd enjoyed the 246th Army Band as they gave us a rousing group of patriotic songs, marches and other traditional music. The forty talented musicians with their shining instruments entertained the audience for more than two hours.
Some vocals were sung by talented band singers. The exuberant maestro led his musicians through one stirring selection after the other.
Judge James Lockemy was the genial Master of Ceremonies.
The Color Guard was made up of the official flags of each branch of the Armed Services and made an impressive display against the stage.
This 246 Army Band composed of forty musicians is in demand for appearances. Their performance was superb…both Maestro and musicians have perfected their performance, and the audience rewarded them with a standing ovation.
Annual Tribute To Veterans Was Pleasure
