FLORENCE – Last week the North Eastern Strategic Alliance (NESA), an economic development organization encompassing South Carolina’s northeast region, hosted a presentation featuring Darin Buelow, a principal at Deloitte Consulting. Buelow focused on “developing a competitive advantage for distribution and logistics projects,” and discussed the latest trends and best practices relevant to bringing employers from the distribution and logistics industry to the NESA region.
This was the fifth program in NESA’s ongoing Consultant Event Series. All nine NESA member counties were represented at the event.
“Success in economic development requires both regionalism and a commitment to stay current on the issues affecting our focus. Distribution and logistics projects are a central component of our economic development efforts, and this program will enable us to ensure we are employing the right strategies and tactics as we work to secure jobs in this important industry,” said NESA executive director Jeff McKay.
“My time in the NESA region was very informative and eye-opening. The region has a number of sites that are suitable for manufacturing and distribution centers, and can offer a compelling value proposition to many types of projects,” Buelow noted after visiting the region.
