Dillon’s Jamie Callahan, who recently signed to play for the University of South Carolina after graduation, was named one of Baseball America’s Top 100 high school seniors this week.

Callahan ranked 49th on the list. The right-handed pitcher went 3-2 with a 3.88 ERA last season for Dillon and struck out 87 batters, walking just 25 in 49 innings pitched. He played at first or third when not pitching.

He also hit seven home runs for the Wildcats with a .431 average and 26 RBI.

The honor comes as one of many this season as he was named all state and was invited to pitch at the Under Armour® All American game over the summer at Chicago’s Wrigley Field.

He is also ranked as the number one high school player in South Carolina by Perfect Game, and is listed as the top right-handed high school pitcher in the state by Diamond Prospects.
