Outdoorsmen in Dillon SC passed on the hunting tradition by teaching boys and girls shooting and archery skills on September 10, 2011, at Bryant Farms in Dillon, SC, where 13 youth and their families enjoyed a day of outdoor sports.

The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (DNR) was on hand to help assist the youth as well as teach them safety, and the DNR also provided a skeet thrower and some 20 gauge shells.

Mr. Cullen Bryant, owner of Bryant Farms, donated his time and place for the youth and also gave a quick farm lesson on how to preserve our land.

The kids were given a T-shirt, duck call, a bulletin to learn about the ducks and how to preserve our land, Ducks Unlimited hat, decals, and Green Wing stickers.

Youth who begin their association with Ducks Unlimited through fun events such as learning to shoot at a Green Wing event may become tomorrow’s staunch protectors of wetlands and waterfowl habitats.
