The Pee Dee Baptist Association Disaster Relief Team was recognized by the Dillon County Council at their last meeting for the work they did in the Little Rock area after a tornado struck their in April.
A resolution of appreciation was presented to Ron Taylor, director of the association.
Councilman Harold Moody said that those folks needed help in that area. He pointed out that the members of the team were not young men, but worked as hard as anyone he had seen. He said he would like to commend that group of men. “Job well done,” he said. Councilman Joe Johnson also commended them for their great work.
Taylor said they appreciated the recognition because they were not used to being recognized.
