Rev. Father Donald R. Hayes was ordained as a priest in the Orthodox Anglican Church in Richmond, Virginia on Saturday June 25, 2011. He was awarded his Master in Sacred Theology, Cum Laud on the previous Friday. Also becoming priests were from left to right are Father Ronald Murray, St. Patrick’s OAC, Hemet, California; Father Paul Hubbard, St. Timothy’s OAC, Poquoson, Virginia; Archbishop Scott McLaughlin, Presiding Bishop OAC; and Father Donald R. Hayes, St Paul’s by the Sea OAC, Calabash, NC. The ordination was held at St. John Chrysostom OAC at St Joseph’s Villa. In addition to his duties as a priest at St. Paul’s by the Sea, he continues to serve as a Chaplain (Captain)in the SC State Guard; a Chaplain Resident in Pinehurst, NC where he will graduate on August 3 with a degree in Clinical Pastoral Education; a Hospice Chaplain with United Hospice serving The Pines Nursing Home and The Thorne Assisted Living as well as an On Call
Chaplain at Carolinas Hospital in Florence.
