Latta’s 10U All-Stars emerged from the recent sub-district tournament in Lake View with an undefeated record and the Sub-District Championship title.

The sub-district double elimination tournament was held in Lake View last week with teams from Lake View, Latta, Dillon, Mullins, Marion, McLeod Park, and Francis marion competing.

Latta faced McLeod Park in the championship match and earned a 10-9 victory. With the bases loaded, the McLeod Park pitcher walked Latta’s batter for the winning run.

“We’re very proud of these young guys, coaches, and the fan support that showed up!” said Latta Recreation Director Ann Jackson.

On Saturday, they played Greenwood in Florence in the District Championship bracket, but were defeated and eliminated.
