Services for Ernest Elvin Hayes will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday in the Dillon Church of God with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held 1:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Hayes, 74, died Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Regency Hospital in Florence.
Born in Dillon County, August 13, 1936, he was the son of the late John Gordon Hayes and Clemmie Elizabeth Ivey Hayes. He was a member of the Dillon Church of God, and was retired from Dixiana Mills.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Maxine Hayes of Hamer; son, John Elvin Hayes of Rock Hill; daughters, Carolyn (Richard) Lockamy of Little Rock, and J. Lynne Hayes of Florence; grandchildren, Richard Lawrence (Kiley) Lockamy of Little Rock, and Ernest J. Hayes of Florence.
