The 13-14 year old Dillon Dixie Boys Allstars defeated Darlington and Marlboro County over the weekend to advance to the finals of the District Three Sub-District Championship Tournament.

On Friday, Dillon defeated Darlington 17-5 with Hamilton picking up the win on the mound. Herring hit three home runs with six RBIs to lead Dillon at bat, with Deese getting three hits and three RBIs and Graves going 2-for-3.

On Saturday, Dillon faced Marlboro County and came away with a 13-1 win. Herring was the winning pitcher, striking out 14, and was also the lead hitter with two home runs and seven RBIs. Graves had three hits and four RBIs, and Deese had three hits and two RBIs.

Dillon drew a bye for Monday night, but will be back in action tonight at 7:00 p.m. at Darlington to face the winner of Monday’s losers bracket match.

The winner of the tournament will play on July 5 at McLeod Park.

Dillon’s head coaches are Mark Scott, Jamie Hamilton, and general manager Larry German.
